Tweens have obsessive tendencies, this is not news. We know this because we all had one. Maybe for you it was NKOTB or *NSYNC, and for the new wave of tweens it’s apparently T. Swift and serums

I’m all for looking your best, but it’s getting weird out there

A lady actually told me she started letting her 17 year old daughter get Botox. She looked me dead in the eyes and said “it’s just for prevention. Is that bad?” 😳

So here’s what you need to know ->

Tween skin is NOT adult skin.

Tween hormones are still developing and certain chemicals in skincare can interfere with that.

Tween skin barriers are not as strong as adults so it needs to be handled with kid gloves. (See what I did there?)

Tween Skincare Do’s and Dont’s:

DO teach them to care for their skin by being nice to it.

DO use 3 products maximum: Gentle Cleanser, Gentle Lightweight Hydrator, Non-Toxic SPF.

DO use non-comedogenic products.

Do NOT start them on retinol or any other actives that can weaken their skin barrier (Vitamin C, Glycolic Acid, etc).

Do NOT let them use exfoliants.

Do NOT use products with hormone disrupting chemicals or fragrances.

Most importantly.. Let’s make sure our tweens/teens know there is no award given for least wrinkles acquired at the gates of Heaven, shall we?

Our recommendation for your tween? Hydrating Beauty Oil.

This lightweight moisturizer will easily become their new obsession. It not only provides hydration without being greasy... It will actually balance their skin's oil production, making hormonal changes easy on their beautiful skin.
